Kitsune

Anyone else here interested in the Japanese concept of the kitsune?

yeah, I'm a big fan of the japanese kitsune, especially within modern context. I've made myself some outfits with foxes since they are pretty awesome in general through out many cultures.

My favorite literary depiction in modern literature is The Fox Woman by Kij Johnson (now available in paperback). I have also seen traditional depictions in the Kabuki theater in Japan.

Oh I haven't gotten into that modern yet. I don't take modern Japanese literature till next semester. my background comes from doing the research needed for art classes on presentation of Japanese artists whose art were in local art museums and sadly from manga sources which unlike art, aren't really all that historical but do contribute to the modern image in the youth.
