New to Chastity

I'm looking into starting self chastity and thought i'd ask for some advise.

A thew points i'm considering are:

-What "device" to buy (Style and material)
-What time scale to use
-potential a online key holder with numbered (tamper evident) tags

Please let me know if you think i need to be considering other points.
