I'm guessing they got taken down for illegal,or at least web host prohibited activity. In addition to copying the supposedly-destroyed pics to another website and posting a fair amount of revenge porn, they were reportedly also distributing malware for bitcoin mining. I liked the site in concept, but whoever was running it was a scum bag.

The whois search shows:

Name Server: DUMMYSECONDARY.PLEASECONTACTSUPPORT.COM
Name Server: BLOCKEDFORABUSE.PLEASECONTACTSUPPORT.COM

I don't think they spread malware. How would they have to be able? Embedded in pictures? Malware must be run to have any effect.

Also it's not quite probably that they copied the pictures over. They took quite some effort to protect the pictures from the other site.

If I had to take a guess I'd say the webhost didn't like the traffic they got. Each bit of traffic is expensive.

Malicious Javascript is a relatively common occurrence. Full-on crypto lockers have been delivered via Javascript.

Third parties created scripts/bots to save and archive all pictures that were posted with the 'public' flag.

I'm not talking about a theoretical situation, I've seen sites specifically setup to archive and display pictures from destroyable.io, and have indeed seen pics on them that were previously deleted from the source site.

If I were a betting man, I'd put 50 on the host forcing the site offline, and 50 on the site owner taking himself offline.

As we experienced, I was on the "undestroyed.xyz" when getting a warning. On that site was malicious spyware trying to enter my laptop.
The next morning at 9.30 AM my husband asked what website I was surfing the other evening...
His IT-man said it was from a site trying to install illegal/dangerous software. (But the firewall worked ).
That same day "destroyable" was offline...
Kind of sad because I once did a full naked dare once and it was extremely exiting!!!

Okay, that seems to be possible and also might have happened. I don't know.

You don't need that site to do exciting dares. ;)

Okay, that seems to be possible and also might have happened. I don't know.

You are correct that most of the really nasty browser-based Javascript requires some sort of interaction from the user (eg you are prompted to install a malicious extension, or download something). Which fortunately wasn't the case here.

I believe undestroyed.xyz was running a script called Coin Hive, which also has been spotted in some other sites (The Pirate Bay etc.). It silently mines for bitcoin in the background when the page is loaded.

As alluded to above, from what I know, Coin Hive isn't "malicious malicious" in that it doesn't appear to be dangerous to your computer or phone files. But it will, if unblocked, consume CPU and eat up your battery life. Many ad-blockers (eg uBlock Origin) and Internet blockers (eg Malwarebytes) tend to block it for that reason, you can't "opt out" or even know it's there.

I didn't check the JS of Destroyable.IO so I don't know if they were running anything. What I do know is that this site's tone changed unfortunately once 4chan etc. got a hold of it and started posting more revenge porn type stuff. "Blockedforabuse" is a sign Namecheap shut it down, from what I can see. Which I buy because Namecheap doesn't allow nudity on their services period. So I suspect that some combination of the site being too visible for its own good, combined increasingly with the type of content being posted, got it taken down.

I did just find https://temporarily.exposed

It really isn't perfect yet and almost inactive. But I guess it makes up for the hole that destroyable left

It's quite new (domain registered 2017-10-28T19:52:37Z) and will not live for long I guess.

Registrar: NameCheap, Inc.
It was already mentioned that namecheap does not tolerate any nudity. I don't know why they sell .exposed domains then... but who am I to judge.

Domains and hosting are totally different things. however .exposed doesn't need to mean what you assume it means. There are far better sites available if you can prove the exposee is willing and you have the necessary release docs.

Hmm yes very true there's a lot better sites. Love messing with a sub on there though. Look you're up there for 1 minute! Unless someone clicks a button ;)

and there I was thinking your avatar photo was really you. Very nice though, very nice. and stuck there for 19 more days at the last count.

As I seem to be unable to edit my post above I would like to point out that it should have read
“and there I was thinking your avatar photo wasn't really you.” I have since spotted my mistake. I feel really silly  as I had already once edited that post for spelling.
If it has caused SexxySan or anyone else any offence am sorry and I apologise most profoundly. I put my mistake down to the fact that I was very overwhelmed by SexxySan's lovely sexy body.

Just check the "show more" option on the bottom of the screen when you try to upload.

You'll have an option to allow the extension. Carefull, as unlimited extension can become an almost permanent exposure (*blushes*). Not that it had happened to me or anything...

I was playing an online game with someone and kept loosing and the forfeit bet just kept getting riskier and more daring. I should have quit sooner as they were too good for me and I totally lost.:banghead:

Then I tried to cheat by posting without an hours extension and was caught,:spank: now the extention is a day, up to the max allowed , which I'm not sure of.

This is my forfeit https://temporarily.exposed/image/4aa29fa8-2909:eek:

I had to post the above post as part of the forfeit but no one said I can't do this,:D
Please do not extend my time on the above it is very embarrassing and I don't want it up any longer then it has to be. So :p
