Best rope for tying hair?

So, im curious about binding hair. My partner and i have had success with using hemp rope, however i do notice at times it can really bind up and having asked my lady to grow out her hair i hate seeing it damaged. If any of you fine ladies have any tips regarding a good type of rope that binds and holds well but doesnt absolutely destroy your hair then fire those suggestions my way. Recently started restraint play with an anal hook and its absolutely great but not at the cost of her nice hair.

You could try braiding an o ring into her hair and tying the rope to that

Are you talking about threading an o ring into the pleat as i do it? Or is there something im missing? Have been shaving my head for 20 years so hair do'ing techniques are a bit of a mystery haha. Ive tried googling what you suggested but the results are......vague haha. Really like this idea though!

Yes thread it into the pleat as you braid. Loop the hair through it as you bread it so it is woven into the braid.
