There are times when my partner has her hands tied up and her mouth full/covered and is unable to say a safe word. Does anyone have any ideas of an alternative for saying a safe word when this is obviously not possible?

Normally, its a vigerous shake of the head, with a no,no,no type mumble

When tied and or gagged you have to be extra careful in reading her non verbal reactions. its best practiced with her when she is able to speak and you seeing the boundaries to whats enough and whats too much. I wouldnt myself be doing anything new or crazy for the first time with her bound and gagged.

My other recommendation would be to give her an object in her hand to hold such as a small ball, stick, etc when she needs to safeword she is to drop the item drawing your attention to it for an immediate all stop. You can also allow her a bell or any other form of noise making device she can operate easily within the confines of her situation.

You have to be careful with the things that you do while the other person is unable to speak properly. Don't go too crazy. She should just shake her head in a "No" motion and you have to be extra careful while reading her body language.

I agree on friends here that you need to be extra careful on things or activity you do. It's best to show concern for others than minding what makes you happy. Our ways or act should not compromise our health and safety. Taking care and understanding for our partners is what makes a relationship effective and sustaining.

I think before you do the thing you both should have already a sign wherein for example if I do this kind of sign it means stop. what i think you lack is the communication with your partner.

Misspain07 I don't know if that was a joke but if not you need your head examined because that is how someone can be charged criminally and if you are joking then take the question seriously. Non-verbal clues are going to be your best bet for knowing how she is feeling/reacting to what you are doing.

I guess that it is very important that if we will tied up or covered the mouth of our partner when having sex is that we must assure that she will have a chance to say something whenever she finds it difficult to have sex on that situation. Safety should be our main concern regardless on what we are doing because we can accidentally killed someone if we will not be cautious for everything we do.

Lol that's going to be hard since you like to see her in pain but I think a simple tap will do.
