Relationships require a lot of hard work no matter what type of work you do. I can only imagine the stress working in the adult industry put on the relationship on a daily basis.

Take for example, strippers, can you imagine what her and her husband or boyfriend fight about most? I bet it is hard to meet new guys and tell him that you are a stripper when he asks what type of job you do.

It is funny because just the other day, I told a good male friend of mine that I am writing for an erotic story, immediately I saw his mind turning in circles. I felt like now he wanted to make a pass at me. He said I did not know you were that kind of girl. What did he mean that kind of girl? What kind of girl writes erotic articles? Wow what a closed minded person he turned out to be. I was very disappointed in him.

It is quite premature to judge someone based on their involvement in the adult industry regardless of what aspect they are in. Work is work some is just more fun than others....

Looks like that guy wasn't the right person for you.
I personally would have no problem with my girlfriend being for example a porn actress. I base my relationships more on trust than on stupid social rules. If she loves me I don't have anything to fear from her work. If she doesn't love me, she isn't my girlfriend (anymore) and that has nothing to do with the work.
Well maybe my view of a relationship differs from what other persons are feeling.

I do wonder if this is difficult, I probably wouldn't be for the person working in the industry but would be for the person on the outside, maybe it would come down to trust , maybe the other person would question the trust they have

I have two friends who work as erotic dancers, both in committed relationships. They fight about the same tings all other couples fight over, mostly money. :p

He has his job, she has hers, they both bring in money, and they are both very comfortable with their chosen forms of employment.

The only thing different about working in the adult industry is what closed-minded folks in society think of you or your field of employment, so you have to watch what you say. Usually my friends say that they are entertainers or stage performers when strangers ask, and usually the questioner is satisfied with that answer.
