Judging by the decline in site visits it seems it was a rather unpopular move to can exposing here but really we had no choice.

So what can the exhibitionist types who like showing off do? Well first up make yourself an account on one of the regular porn picture hosting sites such as xhamster and carry on, just don't hotlink it back here! There are still a stack of sites that will let you post pretty much anything you like, and good luck to them.

Here on Kink Talk we want to return the focus to being kinky, and lets face it if we're really honest just being nude isn't kinky at all even online, its everywhere.

So onto what you can post.
  • You can post photos of pretty much any kinky activity as long as you don't include a face or any identifying information.
  • You can post YOUR face in your kinky photos but you must be a verified member to do so.
  • You can post kinky photos of others but give credit in the form of a username and only if you have permission.
Some interesting ideas for new kinky threads to show yourself off.
  • I have the biggest/smallest/fattest/thinnest/weirdest whatever thread. Post a close up pic of this "thing" and encourage others to outdo you.
  • Show off your kinky toys, in use or on their own.
  • Dress up for everyone, clothing kink is supported here, just follow the guide above.
  • Kinky pic of the day, week or month.
  • Add some kinky touches even if you're not really into it, drape a rope around you, squat over a toilet, just add something to spice up a plain nude.
  • Add some body writing or draw dicks on yourself, thats kinky.
And I'm sure there are loads more if everyone just has a think about it. Please feel free to discuss here but don't use this thread to post your pics, create your own or just use the albums!

Sorry to say that yes, most people including myself were here to discuss/do exposure. There's barely 10 people here online at one time (8 right now to be exact), and posts in other areas are few and far between. Forums that show last posts as many days to more than a week ago just show how little interest there is. I really don't think it will sustain here, and kinktalk will fade away.

Sure I get that but lets be clear what we are talking about, the exposing crowd wrecked this themselves.

Unfortunately a big part of using exposure as a kink was/is making it non-consensual. This ranges from actual, fully non-consensual of the "unaware" variety through to the limited consent type of exposure contests etc.
Real non-consensual was never ok, but the later is actually where the problem came in for us. Increasingly we had more and more people joining these contests (usually on kik) then complaining here to staff that the pic poster didn't have consent to post or they had changed their minds. Now whether this was a deliberate setup or real change of mind it caused real problems with actual official legal threats to shut us down.

The end result is, you can still post photos of yourself and others (no face) here as long as they are kinky and I'm sorry just being naked isn't kinky. Hell its barely softcore porn which you can find anywhere and everywhere.
Some people have adapted and taken this on board, it doesn't take a lot of effort to kink things up.

Bottom line, the thing that made exposing edgy and kinky was the risky bit that also made it drift into being non-consensual. If its not Safe, Sane and Consensual then it doesn't belong here.

The decision has been made and now we will experience what will happen. The trafic might decrease a lot or opposite (kinky not nude likers might come back).

I will not agree that being naked is not kinky, as there is group of subs that gets horny on even a think of their pics being online.

If I recall proper there were solution like notice and take down (block/remove material if someone claims it is he/her and there is no consent). I know it works for EU. Like youtube works among others in EU and USA I guess it is not as easy to shut down webside if admins react. Other part of it is how much time admins needed to verify stuff.

I don't like the decision. I put a lot of effort to make sure subs exposed gave consent. I required consent to be written on pic, so it is much harder to just edit it. But I ofcourse will respect the decision.

In all honesty, the constant exposure posts pushed me further off this website. Before there was a massive influx of “expose me” posts there were genuine discussions of kink and I personally felt there was a lot more interaction between people. As the “expose me” posts grew, a lot of regular users signed off. I’m not saying that being exposed isn’t kinky to some - even I enjoy being exposed, guilty as charged, but it was thread after thread to the extent that other content was being buried. You made a good point that other “kinks” weren’t updated/interacted with - but I honestly believe it’s because these threads were heavily buried by the multiple exposure threads posted per day.

I for one hope that with this change genuine discussion about kinks can start again; there aren’t many places online to have conversations about kinks/bdsm etc with likeminded people. Kinktalk was one of the only places I found that there were more discussions and not just picture postings, exposures and dares.

I just came back to KT and GD after a break and this change is disappointing. I understand why it was done but I feel like it could have been done a better way. If there was an issue of exposure bleeding all over the site, why not restrict posts to an “Exposure” sub forum and delete and ban posts that do not post there?

If the issue was with possible legal claims and people saying they were inappropriately posted, simply be heavy handed and delete the posts if someone complains. Hell, make it so that a claim has it auto delete.

I vehemently disagree that posting a naked photo of yourself or consensually of another is not kinky. If jerking off in a park can be a kink, so too can having a nude with exposed face that you have limited control over be posted.

I just don’t get the hate when these simple solutions could have fixed the issues easily. One of the reasons I used KT over the years through several accounts was due to its accepting nature and allowance of nude photos , and the fact that I could have it so only registered users could see it. There isn’t any reason for me to use this site now if this is being taken away. It’s a shame because GD doesn’t allow nudes at all and there aren’t many sites that have a system as good as kinktalk used to.

I do hope you all will reconsider and set up a sub forum that will allow these posts.

I get your concerns and believe me the decision was not taken lightly or quickly.
If you look back at the posts over the last year you will see we did indeed trial a system of allowing verified members to give consent to post to others. This was very popular and kind of worked for a while until the inevitable few started going back and claiming they didn't think it would get out of hand and their pics end up everywhere. This was mostly handled as you mention by simply deleting content but in a few instances it wasn't fast enough for the complainants and we received direct notice that the hosting company would shut us down if we continued to allow exposing.

The big issue with the whole exposure as a kink concept is that its all fun and games until its not. Suddenly something happens, a change of job situation and now your kinky game is threatening your career so you want everything ever posted online gone, now. Thats just one of the legit reasons I've had to deal with, mostly its just the simple "I want them taken down" routine. As if this is a paid job where staff just around waiting to clean up your mess. Worst of all were the serial pests who would go through periods of sharing tons of photos then a week later wanting them all gone.
Then to top it all off are the fakes posting photos as being of them when they are really disgruntled ex's or simply opportunistic assholes non-consesually sharing stuff they shouldn't. Again legal action was threatened when photos were maliciously posted here.

If you enjoy posting nude photos use xhamster or imagefap or any of the other multitude of pic posting sites, they still happily allow it and they do have paid staff to deal with abuse.

While this is true, it's still void. Everything can be a kink, including but not limited to: eating human flesh, amputation, rape (even non-consensual), feeling the sun on naked skin, taking a bath. Some of those are permitted (who would prohibit taking a bath?) and some are prohibited - and there are things not prohibited in a strict reading, but which can do harm to others nevertheless. Exposure is one of the latter and the kinktalk staff had to rule that exposure is only permitted while kept in very strict limits.

To have a chat about your kinks is not hot any more for a lot of people. For me the real bdsm life is just impossible to find online. So many fakes every where. This is apicture of my sub wearing a wooden tong that I made for him.IMG_20190225_205305.jpg

I thought years ago that online bdsm could be a solution for those not having their fetishes fulfilled in real life. But everyone was called a fake. In my case because my limits seemed chickening out for my dom. Or that I was not a poet to worship some goddess (rough example, I don't feel like worshipping anything or talking things I don't feel). I quit explaining I was just submissive and found that I can change my real life sex to include bits of domination.

But I do love to expose myself and love to beat regular subs in self torture. Makes me horny. Did a few times. I shared pics some other time, felt the fear of the risk of being exposed to my friends. But I tried to keep safe, just no face pics to send. This after I lost my way and accepted to show off on video.
