Many Dominants try to train submissives by simply doing whatever comes to mind or by having a basic outline of what they may want to do. Many experienced Dominants can get away with this because they have experienced much of the different training scenarios previously and know how they will be able to handle any changes they need to make on the fly. Where this becomes an issue, is with new Dominants.

Below is an example layout of a lesson plan you can create for your submissive.

LESSON TO BE TAUGHT: The point of slave training is to train your slave to learn certain skills and improve as a person overall. Just spanking them or pulling out a flogger will not do that. You have to know what the lesson of the session is going to be, so you can obtain your goal.

TOOLS/EQUIPMENT NEEDED: Make a list of tools and equipment that you plan on using in the session. This way you can have them ready and available to use during the session. Nothing stalls a session like stumbling around trying to find a piece of equipment.

ACTIVITIES: You know what the lesson is going to be, now what are you going to have to do to incorporate to teach that lesson.

PLANNED TIMELINE: Many Dominants find that they rush through a session much quicker then they would like. Here is your chance to describe each activity you plan on doing and giving it a set amount of time. While you are training your sub set a digital timer (all smartphones have one) out of sight of your sub’s view. While performing each activity you can refer to the timer to see if perhaps you are going to fast. This can really help slow the pace for new Dominants that tend to rush a scene.

OBSERVATIONS: Keep your clip board in reach during a slave/submissive training scene and whenever you observe something interesting making a note of it. Don’t just write down positive or negative comments. Make sure you incorporate both into your observations. Just seeing you writing down comments will shock most slaves/submissives into straightening up their act.

RESULTS: Was the slave/submissive able to learn the desired lesson or able to take a step closer to learning the lesson? How pleased were you with their overall performance? Did you see any improvement in their behavior, response time, attitude, etc? If they had difficulty, when and where did the session prove difficult for them?

DOES SLAVE NEED FURTHER TRAINING?: Review your notes and see if your slave/submissive needs to improve in any areas and needs further training on this particular lesson. Or schedule a time to retest this lesson to make sure it has truly sunk into their thought patterns.

Having your observations and results written down will help you when discussing the session with your sub when you are debriefing. This way you won’t forget any important points.

Not only will having a game plan written out before you start a scene help make things run more smoothly but it will also give you the appearance of having more confidence, knowledge and experience. One thing you must remember is that you must remain flexible with your plan. Just because you have created a plan for a scene it does not mean that your submissive will be able to do it or that it will go exactly as planned. Everything depends on your submissive. You need to watch and observe them and adjust your plan according to their responses. Never become so focused on your plan that you forget who it was that you created the plan for.
