I think they need to revise the rules a bit particularly concerning pictures

Unlike getdare everyone on kinktalk is over 18 so the no requesting/giving out pics in threads just seems stupid and probably one of the main reasons this site is dead.

rule 9 "Please use the private messaging system to post content that might offend others."

This site has kink in the name and everyone is over 18, if something offends someone they should get over it or leave.

rule 10 "Continuing to contact users who have asked you leave them alone will result in the removal of your account."

Wouldn't it be 20 times better just to put an ignore system in place?

rule 15 "Please lurk before posting." This shouldn't be here, the thread is too dead for lurking we need contributors.

This site should NOT be this censored, this isn't getdare with kids all over, the only point to this site is for people to get something less childish and censored then getdare, and looking at the rules the only difference is the 18+ and the smut section that's it.

Just because I am over 18 doesn't mean I want to see something sexist, racist or illegal etc. So no that shouldn't go on the threads either.

Lurking before posting is so that people can have a look around and read before posting. Maybe you could start some interesting threads and discussions to boost the activity levels on here? Just a suggestion.

I don't want to see a load of balls, dicks or pussy everytime I log on but maybe I'm just boring like that

Again why shouldn't they be in threads, I know it gets to a point where it's spam but making it not allowed is just annoying.

Then they should specifically mention sexist/racist but hell that turns people on, everything offends someone so no it should go.

There's nothing to lurk about and I already did it's a stupid rule for an inactive site.

I can see your point about requests, though possibly would need it's own section. Maybe a sub forum of the smut dump for requests.

However as for posting pictures in threads, firstly not everyone wants to see all the pictures all the time. Secondly it would make modding hell. Thirdly it would slow loading of threads down massively. Fourthly it would make browsing from a phone very hard.
There's just a few reasons I can think of off the top of my head. It isn't difficult to just post a link to your album, or the picture from your album in the thread, then people can look if they wish. This isn't a home made porn sharing forum. Even places like fetlife don't allow image posting in threads.

Feel a very small revision here to make it clear that such photos are allowed in albums. Rules on posting in albums are currently under revision anyway.

1. I'm not saying all pictures should be okay all the time I just find the fact it's completely forbidden stupid. Here I'll give an example say you are making a thread in bondage and have a picture of the girl naked in the end result of a bondage, you post it to show people what they will end up with if they follow your instructions on tying her up. And again the requesting shouldn't be forbidden either, this isn't getdare where everyone is underage (though people shouldn't be harassed either)

I'll tell you something happened a bit ago, in a chat some girl whispered me saying something insulting, I replied not that nice then she said leave me alone when she's the one that started if, if I said something like you started it and I got banned do you think that'd be fair? You see my point I hope.

Edit just reread the rules we kind of got away from the original rule in our conversation
1. Reread the rules and it only said requesting pics isn't allowed (nothing about naked pics in a thread), and I don't see how that's an issue, I suggest changing it to don't harass people for pictures

2. "Please restrict over graphic and potential offensive material to pms" would be better, I think the purpose of this is more for like gory stuff now but I don't know for sure, part of me thinks it's just a copy and paste from getdares rules

3. Being banned for pming someone once after they tell you stop shouldn't be in the rules so clearly, if the mods would regularly make exceptions that's just more evidence that the rule needs to be reworked

I think some discretion should be used I got in trouble on getdare for asking someone for a photo when they said in a thread they want to send someone a photo to be famous. If the request is in response to a thread that the person said they would send photo you should not get in trouble for responding.
