The deep, hardy chuckles burn my ears
I never heard the tones of your voice, but I miss reading them and hearing them in my imagination

I miss the green of your eyes
Watching in rapture as I hurt myself for you
The concern blazing in them that I was enjoying the pain, though I never saw them gazing upon me

I miss feeling like you desired me
Wanting to see me, not just my body
The feeling that you wanted me to belong to you, but you never claimed me

I miss the spark I felt seeing your name pop across my screen
I miss the anticipation and excitement of what you would be in the mood for today
I miss the what ifs and what woulds you peppered me with when we couldn't play
I miss the confidence you probably unknowingly instilled in me
I miss that you thought I had a great smile
I miss that small secret between us when we were in the middle of others
I miss hearing about your thoughts and experiences
I miss that small part in the middle of whatever we were that felt so good and so natural

I miss you

And I miss thinking like that I will feel like that the next time you pop up again.
