The last 4 guesses prior to my correct one I saw couldn't be reconciled with the letters they were using so one had to be replaced. As most were all well established the only really unsure group left were G, H and I first used on row 7. When I checked I realised I could remove H and all the scores still worked, in fact that let me reconcile the last incorrect guess. I could see "I" was needed as was one G, adding the second G made sense and worked when I checked all the rows again. In fact thinking back I was expecting at least one repeat from @nina so should have twigged that sooner.
Unfortunately the reason H was included in earlier guess by me is due to a method I call anchoring. The idea is when you have too many variable you need to pick one of them and fix its value, this is useful as it allows you to build a structure around it to test other letters. If you pick the wrong one to anchor it eventually shows as the pattern is not able to be reconciled as happened here and at that point you have to toss it out. However also as happened here what it does do is allow you to construct the rest of the pattern around it until it breaks.
