This puzzle is proving harder than I intended, sorry everyone

None of the guesses for number 1 are correct. The negative activity is driving in this case. If you drink multiple drinks, you become "I_____" (the clue begins with the letter I. You've been circling this one for a while, I thought for sure someone would guess it)
Clue 5 I could have just as easily shown ladders instead of houses. The change here is what's important, increasing ___. That word is part of the answer, and the increase gives you the full word.
